If you are interested in Radio Communications, Technical Equipment, or are already a Ham Radio Operator, the Sheriff's Amateur Radio Communications (ARC) Team is the place for you. The Sheriff's ARC Team coordinates and provides communications support for many of the special events and incidents that the Sheriff's Office is involved in. The members of the ARC Team participate in almost all of the Sheriff's activities as every event requires communications support of some type.

The ARC Team, all of whom are currently Ham Operators, meet at least once per month at the Office of Emergency Services (OES). The ARC Team manages the radio, video and electronic equipment of the Volunteer Services Section and operates the Sheriff's Mobile Command Post. By providing these services, the ARC Team supports the activities of both full-time and volunteer Sheriff's Office employees.
